The Berea-Midpark Girls Wrestling program will be represented on the biggest stage this weekend as Deionna Borders and Micah Finley have qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association Girls State Wrestling Tournament.
Borders enters the tournament as the defending state champion and will look to defend her title against the best wrestlers in Ohio. Finley has also earned a spot in the state tournament and will be making her first appearance on the state stage after a strong postseason performance.
The tournament will take place at the Jerome Schottenstein Center in Columbus this weekend, where the state’s top wrestlers will compete for an OHSAA championship.
Qualifying for the state tournament is an outstanding accomplishment and reflects the dedication, hard work, and perseverance both athletes have shown throughout the season. The entire Titan community is proud of Deionna and Micah and wishes them the best as they represent Berea-Midpark on the state stage this weekend.
